Winter Warm-Hubs (3rd January) – Together with Blackpool FC, we have been providing families and those socially isolated and vulnerable with a place to keep warm, socialise and have access to free hot drinks and food. Our Pool Together Hubs, run every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 pm – 3 pm and includes teas, coffees, biscuits and activities and our Family Hub runs Monday – Friday from 3 pm – 6 pm which includes a free meal and lots of fun activities and games to enjoy.
We have seen numbers grow massively and have recently moved from the Moretti Lounge to the Matthews Suite at Blackpool FC.
Both of these hubs are free to attend.

The Big Food Truck – Working in partnership with Blackpool Foodbank, The Big Food Truck arrives at the stadium every Tuesday from 2 pm until 3 pm. Situated in the North Stand Community Hub, anyone can access this service which provides food parcels to help with the cost of living. Single bags are £3 and family bags are £5.

PL Inspires Challenge (6th February) – We provide High School pupils across the town the opportunity to take part in our Premier League-funded ‘Inspires’ programme. The programme aims to support pupils with mental health and resilience, whilst improving other important life skills such as communication and organisation. During the programme pupils are presented with the opportunity to partake in the ‘Premier League Inspires Challenge’. Here, pupils work in small groups to formulate an idea and plan how to tackle the issue presented to them by the Premier League.
Aspire Sports Hub – We were delighted to announce last month an exclusive community usage agreement has been signed with Fylde Coast Academy Trust and Aspire Academy, for evening and weekend use of the school’s sports facilities.
Both the indoor and outdoor sports facilities, previously known as PlayFootball, will now be managed by the Community Trust under the title ‘Aspire Sports Hub’, with an initial plan for community activity to take place from February 2023. That plan will now go ahead as we start to hold our first sessions at the new Aspire Sports Hub.
New FIT Blackpool Dates – We have 3 new FIT Blackpool cohorts starting this month. FIT Blackpool is a FREE 12-week weight management and healthy lifestyle programme which involves educational workshops and physical activity to provide immediate and sustainable results. The sessions include:

Emerging Talent Centre Full Launch – Late last month, we saw the launch of the Girl’s FA Emerging Talent Centre. The first session, taking place at the Aspire Sports Hub, was a great success so a massive well done to all the coaches and team who ran it smoothly and professionally. Based on some feedback that was given from parents, they were really impressed with the coaching and the brand new training facilities. We are looking forward to continuing these sessions every Friday evening.
