The 30-week programme will run on Friday evenings and will give all of the girls selected access to train under professional FA/UEFA qualified coaches, goalkeeper-specific coaches, strength and conditioning coaches and qualified physios. The aim is to create future England Lionesses and feed the most talented players into the England Talent Pathway. We initially had around 300 girls register to be part of the programme, but we have now whittled this down to just 66 girls who will be registered this season to represent the u10s, u12s, u14s and u16s.

Premier League Inspires Challenge Introduction Our High School Hub Mentors will be introducing the Premier League Inspires Challenge to Y9 pupils. Here they will begin their efforts to develop a social action plan to make Blackpool an eco-friendlier place to live. Their projects will be planned and presented at Bloomfield Road where they will then have the opportunity to action their proposals.

In our PL Inspires session, we continue to develop our partnership work and will be joined by staff from Empowerment who will deliver a session on healthy relationships to all our Y9 pupils.

PL Inspires Challenge (6th February) – We provide High School pupils across the town the opportunity to take part in our Premier League-funded ‘Inspires’ programme. The programme aims to support pupils with mental health and resilience, whilst improving other important life skills such as communication and organisation. During the programme pupils are presented with the opportunity to partake in the ‘Premier League Inspires Challenge’. Here, pupils work in small groups to formulate an idea and plan how to tackle the issue presented to them by the Premier League.
