Get Set To Go Team Compete in Local Tournament

Blackpool FC Community Trust’s Get Set To Go Mental Health team, competed in a local tournament last week where they won 10 out of 14 games.

This is the first mental health team the Trust has assembled, after the Get Set To Go programme was launched in September.

Get Set To Go uses exercises to overcome barriers for people, who may be suffering with a mental health problem. Get Set To Go provides one to one support, team-work exercises and finding the right physical activity for you. The programme is in partnership with Lancashire Mind and Lancashire FA.

The Trust’s Get Set To Go team was managed by Inclusion Officer, Owen Coyle who was delighted with the effort the team gave. Owen said, “Considering it was our first attempt in a competition – where the standard was high – I’m delighted with the performance of the team. We won 10 games out of 14 and we played some really good football.”
